Our hardware and software emphasize ease of use: the products were designed to require minimal operator interaction, thus lessening the likelihood of operator error in an emergency situation.
Because of its simplicity of design, training is normally accomplished over the phone in a matter of minutes. Over the phone training is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in the United States. Critical RF can provide over the phone training during late night shifts or on weekends, as requested by customer. In-person training, though rarely required or requested, can be provided by an authorized Critical RF technician, and is billed on a normal time and materials basis.
Training, typically provided via telephone as noted above, involves assisting the customer with the initial out-of-box setup, including executing a simple software installation using an enclosed CD-ROM. Once the software is launched, it provides installation instructions for the hardware. This process normally consists of connecting a cable supplied by Critical RF as part of the proposed solution to one radio from each radio system to be interconnected via SafetyNET. For example, if the agency has an 800 MHz and a 700 MHz system, one radio from each system would be plugged into the SafetyNET CS Quad using the cables supplied by Critical RF. The customer then depresses the power button on the SafetyNET CS Quad and the software launches and logs in automatically.
